Spurred on by a recent Halloween themed photo competition I decided to revisit a shot taken at the beginning of the year in an old abandoned military complex. The room was underground with the only natural light falling from the hole in the roof. The room was light painted with LED torches and then the white balance was adjusted in post production to produce the eerie blue hues.
The red light falling from the hole in the roof was cloned across from another shot which had been light painted with red LED torches, this was masked several times onto the original shot and the individual layers blend modes and opacity values were changed until I was happy with the results.
Below is the final image and the original before post production.
