Below is a slide show presenting what I think are the best shots I have taken, or processed this year.
My photographic style has changed significantly this year, moving away from architecture and the built environment, towards people, either through portraiture or street photography.
One thing that has remained reasonably constant is my black and white processing. I still find photographers such as Brandt, Brassai and Doisneau a great influence, and find they still drive the way I process my B&W images.
2011 was also the first year where some of my images have been published. I have managed to get images published in the Yorkshire Evening Post, A Royal Institute Of Chartered Surveyors Publication, A book showcasing the best images taken from the Photography Monthly magazine. Perhaps my best publishing success came with the images I took at the Steampunk Promo Photoshoot for the Bradford Industrial Museum. 1 image was used for an advertising flyer and 6 more were enlarged for display in the exhibition itself.
I would like to wish everyone who has helped me, or taken part in some of the photographic adventures I have experienced a very Merry Christmas, and a Prosperous New Year.
