The final day of the UCI Cross Country Mountain Bike World Cup produced more thrills and spills on a memorable day in Dalby Forest. This was my first time at a Mountain Biking event, so it was a steep learning curve. It gave me the chance to try out my new Canon 70-200 F4L lens, which i had purchased for the event. After the event it became clear that an off camera flash gun positioned below the cyclists head level could have supplied some badly needed fill in flash to the face, therefore removing some of the shadows that were cast on the riders faces. Still Nik Softwares Viveza 2 allows localised brightening of the image, and this allowed me to increase the brightness on the riders faces, and so bring out the detail.
